Lit up the US Open Championship on his debut in 2006 as he challenged all the way at Winged Foot in New York before finishing joint sixth. Went into the final round tied for the lead and paired with Phil Mickelson in the final grouping but both were overhauled by Australian Geoff Ogilvy. Won his 2008 US PGA Tour card through the US PGA Tour Qualifying School, turning his 2007 campaign around after struggling all year.
